The Story
A homeless throwaway, exploited and addicted, discovers that change is possible, and God never forgot her. Now, she is a wife, nurse, and mother of four.
The impact
Our film covers a variety of relevant topics. The first is the human condition and hope for a better tomorrow. Through her faith in Christ Jesus, Amy took her first steps out of darkness and into the light of a brighter future. It’s not a fairy tale, and the journey out was fraught with stumbling blocks, but to see who she is now is inspiring.
Addiction, exploitation, childhood trauma, and foster care are the other main subjects in our film. Through her story, we explore the impact, interconnection, and hazards of these topics in hopes of providing education and improving our approach to these issues so that we can see clearly to help our fellow human beings.

Our Plan
In 2024, we produced an award-winning short film and then expanded it into a feature documentary. A fantastic team of filmmakers and friends donated their time to produce several dramatizations of Amy’s life, and in August of 2025, we screened the film to over 100 people. The reviews were overwhelmingly positive. Fueled by the audience response, we are sharing the film in various communities, churches, and potential distribution partners.
