The Story
A homeless throwaway, exploited and addicted, discovers change is possible, and God never forgot her. Now, she is a wife, nurse, and mother of four.
The impact
Our film covers a variety of relevant topics. The first is the human condition and hope for a better tomorrow. Through her faith in Christ Jesus, Amy took her first steps out of darkness and into the light of a brighter future. It’s not a fairy tale, and the journey out was fraught with stumbling blocks, but to see who she is now is inspiring.
Addiction, exploitation, childhood trauma, and foster care are the other main subjects in our film. Through her story, we explore the impact, interconnection, and hazards of these topics in hopes of providing education and improving our approach to these issues so that we can see clearly to help our fellow human beings.
Our Plan
We are expanding this award-winning short film into a feature documentary. In October 2024, a fantastic team of filmmakers came together to shoot several dramatizations of Amy’s life. We are currently in post-production and seeking additional funding to capture a few more scenes, secure music rights, and master the film. This story inspires hope and allows people to see that God can meet them anywhere.
While in post-production, we are contacting distribution partners to find the right venues to reach as many as possible with this incredible testimony.
