All Saints - Red Carpet Event

Thursday, August 3rd, our head honcho, Brian, drove out to Smyrna, Tennessee to work alongside Ken Carpenter at an event for Sony’s label, Affirm Films. The event screened the red carpet premier of Affirm Film’s newest feature, titled All Saints. The film, starring John Corbett tells the true story of a businessman-turned-pastor, Michael Spurlock whose first assignment is to close a dying church body and sell its profitable land. Upon the church’s welcoming of refugees from Burma, Spurlock has a change of heart and devises a plan to allow the refugees to work and farm the land for money to fund the church and provide employment to the families.

Tekmerion Productions covered the event and happenings of the evening. Cast members and the film’s director, Steve Gomer filled the red carpet giving their time and attention to the attendees for pictures, greetings, and the occasional hug.  Members from the church who inspired the film, including Burmese refugees, mingled with the stars and enjoyed free concessions. The screening was opened by Mayor Reed and Steve Gomer.  Near the night’s end, a Q&A was held with everyone involved with the project. Tekmerion genuinely enjoyed the night and is honored to be a part of this project. Come out and support this film and the growing genre of faith based stories.   It will be in theaters August 25th.
